Am I covered for virus related claims?

The policy covers you against third party claims and allegations of negligently causing accidental bodily injury (which includes illness) in the course of your business. The onus will be on the claimant to prove you were negligent. Any claim will be individually judged by insurers and subject to the full policy terms and conditions.

Renewal Documentation.

For the forseeable future renewal documentation will be sent by email only. We would ask you to check your spam/junk folders for any emails that may be directed there. If you have changed your email address recently please contact us to let us know. You will also receive a text message (if we have your mobile number) to inform you that your documents were recently emailed to you. We are asking that you do not renew by post or pay with cheque at the moment. You can renew online or by phone. You can also pay by BACS. Please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with the relevent bank account details. 

Once you have renewed, again, your new insurance documents will either be emailed to you or they will be made available online through your account area. If you have forgotten your login details please use the reset my password link to update your details.

Am I covered for Online work under my Policy?

Good news. Yes you are.

We understand that at this difficult time, working online, may be a useful option that allows you to keep your business ticking over and also allows you to maintain contact with your clients.

So, regarding online work we can confirm the following:  

The policy will automatically provide the insured cover for the business activities noted and agreed on the policy schedule, via skype, telephone or online consultations. This will provide cover so long as work is not performed or provided to clients in the USA and/or Canada (unless cover for this aspect has been agreed separately). If you do require this aspect of cover please contact us for further information. 

Work provided via skype, telephone or online consultations are subject to all the standard terms and conditions of the policy wording. Please note this includes the record keeping condition that can be found on page 35 of the Professional Liability & Malpractice wording. 

Please treat online work exactly the same as you would if you were working face to face.
